Anthidium manicatum and Flower 8"x10" Print
Illustration of a female European Wool Carder Bee (Anthidium manicatum). Here we see her scraping trichomes (fuzzy hairs) from a Rose Campion (Silene coronaria) stem, meticulously rolling it into a cottony ball, in preparation to create a soft, cozy nest for her young. Did you have any idea insects could be so motherly and caring? Who wouldn't want to hunker down in a nest of soft downy plant hairs?
Print created from my original colored pencil and pastels drawing;
The standard 8"x10" size is easily matted into an 11"x14" mat and frame. A great size for any room! (Frame is not included, just for demonstration purposes.)
The print will come to you in a protective plastic sleeve with a hard backing. It has been signed by me.
-Watermarks are not printed on the actual prints. They are for protection purposes for my website only.
-Prints do not come framed, but frames and mats are often shown for demonstration or inspiration purposes. Most originals do come framed unless otherwise specified.
