Cicada- Neotibicen tibicen 8"x10" B&W Print
Scientific illustration of a Swamp Cicada or Morning Cicada (Neotibicen tibicen). Print created from my original graphite drawing and printed on fine art paper. Don't worry, I found my specimen deceased; no cicadas were harmed in the making of this drawing!
Unlike the popular Brood X (energing in 2021 in parts of the Mid-Atlantic and parts of the Midwest), Neotibicen cicadas are annuals and you can see (and hear!) them every year! These are more active in the morning, hence the common name.
The standard 8"x10" size is easily matted into an 11"x14" mat and frame. A great size for any room! (Frame is not included, shown for demonstration/inspiration purposes only.)
The print will come to you in a protective plastic sleeve with a hard backing.
